LANDOVER, MD.-ETE Enterprises Principal, Andre T. Fraser, was on an intellectual property panel hosted by the Prince George’s County chapter of the Technology Council of Maryland (TCM).

TCM is a unique association of technology firms, federal laboratories, education institutions and business support firms that collectively form Maryland’s technology community. Fraser serves on the Steering Committee for the Prince George’s County chapter of TCM.

The panel addressed the challenges that face technology companies, when they attempt to protect their intellectual property in business arrangements with clients. Fraser said that companies should protect themselves by ensuring that their proprietary materials are copyrighted or patented, in order to avoid infringement on intellectual property rights. He added, “We also have been known to use nondisclosure agreements and non-compete agreements, in order to protect our interests.”

ETE Enterprises Appears on Business Panel

LANDOVER, Md.–ETE Enterprises was recently highlighted as a small business success story at a workshop panel hosted by the National Minority Business Opportunity Committee.

ETE Enterprises Principal & General Counsel, Mandinema (Mondi) Kumbula-Fraser, appeared on the panel and discussed the challenges and rewards associated with running a small business.

Ms. Kumbula-Fraser noted that ETE Enterprises has provided services for companies and agencies, large and small, such as the Internal Revenue Service, GE Information Systems, AT&T Wireless, and the Embassy of Tanzania.  She advised the workshop’s participants to be persistent and vigilant when pursuing business leads. “We attribute much of our success to networking, persistence and a lot of hard work,” she said.

Ms. Kumbula-Fraser serves on the Boards of Directors for a number of groups, including the Washington Bar Association and the Constituency for Africa. She also serves on the Children’s Rights Litigation Committee for the American Bar Association.
